  • Consider picking up your VIP Gold Bat credentials or General Admission wristbands on Thursday, August 14th, to ensure smoother entry over the weekend.
  • While outside food and drink are prohibited, empty plastic water bottles are permitted, so bring one to refill and stay hydrated.
  • Check the event's social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) first for the latest announcements on celebrity guests, as they often appear there before the website.
  • Bags and backpacks must be no larger than 12" x 12" x 6"; plan accordingly to carry your purchases and essentials.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Midsummer Scream?

Midsummer Scream is the world's largest Halloween and Horror Convention, often described as Southern California's kick-off of the Halloween season. It features previews from local haunted attractions, celebrity guests, hundreds of vendors, live entertainment, and the Hall of Shadows with haunted walk-thrus.

Can I upgrade my pass or exchange it for another day?

Yes, exchanges and upgrades are possible through June 30, 2025, by contacting support@midsummerscream.org. Not all purchases qualify, and no exchanges or upgrades are available after this date. Comped passes are ineligible.

What is the difference between General Admission and a Gold Bat pass?

General Admission passes offer single-day or weekend access with first-come, first-served entry to panels and attractions. Gold Bat Passes include weekend access, one-hour early entry on Saturday and Sunday, priority entry to panels and attractions, a commemorative credential, and admission to the Saturday night party.

Are there any restrictions on costumes or props?
