Usually no, or only with heavy limits. Most haunts ban guest masks, face-covering makeup, prop weapons, and anything that could be mistaken for cast wardrobe, so staff can tell actors from visitors. Festive shirts and light face paint typically pass. Check the rules page before dressing up, because security will make you stash banned items in the car or a paid locker.
Every reputable haunt has marked emergency exits and staff who will walk a guest out calmly; just say "I need out" to any actor or monitor and the scene stops. Put nervous first-timers in the middle of the pod, agree on a code word beforehand, and never push someone past a chicken exit. Most attractions won't refund a mid-walk exit, so start with the mildest haunt.
