Most full-intensity haunts recommend 12 or 13 and up, and some enforce a hard minimum with ID or a signed parent waiver. Extreme haunts are usually 18+. Under-10 kids do better at farm haunts with daytime lights-on hours. Call or check the FAQ page before driving out; door staff can and do turn away underage visitors even with a parent present.

At standard haunts, no: no-touch policies run both ways, so keep your hands off actors too, since shoving one is the fastest route to ejection. Touch only happens at attractions that advertise it and require a signed waiver or a glow marker that opts you in. If contact is a dealbreaker, confirm the policy on the ticket page before you buy.

Almost universally no: flash ruins scenes, screens leak light, and dropped phones die in fog-machine darkness, so most haunts ban recording inside and sell a marked photo op instead. Shoot freely in the midway, queue, and facade areas, which are designed for it. Zip your phone into a secure pocket before entering, because retrieving one from a dark maze floor rarely works.
