It varies wildly: purpose-built indoor haunts often have step-free routes, while trails, barns, and hayride fields involve gravel, mud, stairs, and tight turns. Buy online for the last two October weekends, when marquee haunts genuinely sell out timed slots by mid-afternoon; door sales that late mean the worst windows or none. Most full-intensity haunts recommend 12 or 13 and up, and some enforce a hard minimum with ID or a signed parent waiver. Extreme haunts are usually 18+. Under-10 kids do better at farm haunts with daytime lights-on hours. Call or check the FAQ page before driving out; door staff can and do turn away underage visitors even with a parent present.
