Tips & Advice

  • Arrive at least an hour before closing to experience as much as possible, as the event has a hard close.
  • Consider visiting on less popular dates like opening weekend or Sundays for shorter wait times.
  • Purchase tickets in advance online for the best prices, as prices increase closer to the event date.
  • If you purchase a ride bracelet, stop by the Oaks Park ticketing booth to pick it up.
  • Secure all belongings before entering attractions, as lost items inside will not be searched for during operating hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Scaregrounds PDX?

Scaregrounds PDX is Oregon’s premier haunted attraction, featuring multiple world-class haunted houses, terrifyingly immersive sets, and live scare-actors designed to deliver unforgettable thrills. Open select nights each fall, it’s a full-scale Halloween festival packed with heart-pounding horror, food, drinks, side shows, theme park rides, vendor market, and more.

How does timed ticketing work?

Tickets are purchased for an hour block, which is your arrival window. Your ticket grants access to all 3 Haunted Houses during that hour, and you can finish attractions before the park closes even if your hour block ends. This system aims to reduce lines and enhance the guest experience.

Are the rides open at the same time as the haunted attractions?

Not always. Please refer to the event calendar for specific operation times for both rides and haunts. Rides may close an hour before the haunts, and some dates may have rides closed entirely.

What happens if it rains?

The event will remain open regardless of weather conditions, as it is an outdoor event. Parts of the attractions are covered, but much of the park is exposed to the elements. No refunds will be issued due to weather.

Are pets allowed?

Service animals are permitted in general areas but must be leashed and cannot enter the haunted attractions for their safety. Pets are not recommended due to crowds and noise levels.
