The Long Island Aquarium does not have a dedicated parking lot, but the facility is part of the Riverhead Parking District, which allows guests to use free, municipal 3-hour parking lots throughout the town. There are multiple handicap parking spaces within these lots around Main Street. Guests with disabilities and parents with young children are advised to get dropped off at the main Aquarium entrance and their companions can park in one of the surrounding municipal lots. Guests can be picked up at the end of their visit at the half circle entrance. There is an additional parking lot on Ostrander Avenue, just across the street from the aquarium and up one block.
