Practical Information

Parking

You do not need a state park pass if you are a registered participant. We suggest getting to Chatfield early. Registration opens at 7 am. The parking lot at the Swimbeach will be open, with one parking lot to the north and two to the south. Spectators are asked to park in the overflow lots to the North and South so boarders are closer to get their gear to the beach.

No pets allowed

Quick Actions

Tips & Advice

  • Arrive early, around 7 am, to secure parking and complete check-in before the 9 am launch.
  • Consider bringing a wetsuit and neoprene booties, as Colorado weather in October can be unpredictable and the sand at Chatfield is gravelly.
  • Pre-order a t-shirt during registration if you desire a quality shirt, as they are not included with the registration fee.
  • Spectators are welcome and free, but they will need a state park pass; registered participants receive a special rate.
  • Ensure your board decorations are securely attached and safe for the water, as there is a board decorating contest.
