It varies wildly: purpose-built indoor haunts often have step-free routes, while trails, barns, and hayride fields involve gravel, mud, stairs, and tight turns. Email or call ahead and ask specifically about surface type, pinch points, and whether a companion can walk the route first. Buy online for the last two October weekends, when marquee haunts genuinely sell out timed slots by mid-afternoon; door sales that late mean the worst windows or none.
