Every reputable haunt has marked emergency exits and staff who will walk a guest out calmly; just say "I need out" to any actor or monitor and the scene stops. Put nervous first-timers in the middle of the pod, agree on a code word beforehand, and never push someone past a chicken exit. Most attractions won't refund a mid-walk exit, so start with the mildest haunt.
Many haunts admit teens 13-17 without an adult but require a parent-signed waiver, sometimes completed online beforehand; extreme attractions stay 18+ regardless.
