- Wear sensible, flat, gripped shoes as the historic building has uneven surfaces and potentially slippery areas.
- Bring a torch, but avoid head torches as they can blind other guests and cause accidents.
- Dress in warm, layered clothing, as the location can become very cold at night.
- Arrive at the stated time and check in with the team using your booking name; no printed tickets are required.
- If you become frightened, inform a team member immediately; there is a safe, lit area available for you to take a break.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I get scared during the event?
Every event has a safe area which is always lit. If you do become afraid and want to take time out you will be taken to the safe area until you are ready to resume the ghost hunt.
Are there toilets at every location?
Yes, there are toilets at all of their locations. However, whilst most of the location facilities are of a high standard some of their locations are abandoned buildings and the toilet facilities can be unsavoury. They suggest that you bring hand sanitiser for personal use.
Do I need to bring my own ghost hunting equipment?
You are very welcome to bring your own equipment, however, it is your responsibility to look after this on the event and you may be asked to switch off any equipment if it interferes with the vigil at any time.
What happens if I am struggling physically during the event?
If you find that you are struggling with stairs or have mobility issues that may be more difficult, please let the team know right away. They will ensure that you do not feel rushed and that you can work at a pace that is comfortable and safe for you. Some locations have full access for those with mobility issues; call to inquire.
Can I leave early if I want to?
If you wish to leave early you must let a team member know. You will be asked to leave during a convenient time such as in between group activities or during a break to avoid disrupting the event. You must let a team member know if you are leaving so that you can be removed from their fire register.
